# Getting started

Turboslide is a slides editor in the browser. Make a presentation, present it and send the link. No account is needed.

Open [turboslide.com/new](/new) to start a blank presentation. It is saved in this browser as you type. If you sign in later, the presentations you made in this browser move to your account.

> **No account is needed.** You can make, present and download a presentation without an account. Sign in to share a
> presentation with people by name and to open it on another computer.

## Make your first presentation

1. **Start a presentation**

   Go to [/new](/new), or pick a template from Your Presentations at [/decks](/decks).

2. **Add and arrange slides**

   Press Ctrl+M to add a slide after the current one. Press Cmd+D (Ctrl+D on Windows) to duplicate
   it and Delete to remove it. Drag a card in the filmstrip on the left to move a slide.

3. **Write on the slide**

   Click a text box on the slide and type. Click under the slide, where it reads Click to add
   speaker notes, to write what you will say.

4. **Present it**

   Click Slideshow, or press Cmd+Enter (Ctrl+F5 on Windows). Open the arrow beside Slideshow and
   choose Presenter view to see your notes and the next slide in a second window.

## What you need to know first

* Every change is saved as you make it. There is no Save button. File > Version history lists earlier versions and restores one.
* The menus at the top hold every command. Help > Search the menus (Alt+/) finds a command by its name, and Help > Keyboard shortcuts lists the keys.
* A presentation you made without an account lives in this browser. Clearing the browser's site data removes it. Sign in, or download a Turboslide file under File > Download, to keep a copy elsewhere.
* Share gives a link. Anyone with a view link can open the presentation; an edit link lets them change it.

## Agents use the same actions

Every command in the menus is also an action that a program or an AI agent can run. The same actions are reachable four ways, and each one checks its input the same way.

### Command line

The `turboslide` command line works on a presentation folder on your computer:

```sh
turboslide info --json
turboslide slide new --layout split --after title
```

See [The command line](/docs/agents/cli).

### MCP

`turboslide mcp` runs an MCP server over standard input and output, and a hosted studio answers MCP at `/mcp`. Each action is a tool whose name starts with `deck_`. See [MCP](/docs/agents/mcp).

### HTTP

Send the action's input as JSON:

```sh
curl -X POST "https://www.turboslide.com/api/actions/deck.info?deck=<id>" \
  -H "authorization: Bearer <token>" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{}'
```

See [HTTP actions](/docs/agents/http).

### Browser

An open editor page exposes `window.turboslide.studio`, so a script in the page can call `invoke(<action>, input)`. See [The page API](/docs/agents/browser).
