# Presenting

Present a presentation full screen, use Presenter view with your notes and a timer, and the keys that control a slideshow.

A slideshow shows the slides full screen, one at a time, in order. Skipped slides are left out.

## Start a slideshow

1. **Choose where to start**

   Click Slideshow in the title row to start from the current slide, or open the arrow beside it
   and choose Start from beginning. Cmd+Enter (Ctrl+F5 on Windows) also starts from the current
   slide, and Cmd+Shift+Enter (Ctrl+Shift+F5 on Windows) starts from the first.

2. **Move through the slides**

   Press the Right arrow, Space or Enter, or click the slide, to go to the next slide. Press the
   Left arrow or Backspace to go back.

3. **Stop**

   Press Esc to end the slideshow and return to the editor.

## Presenter view

Presenter view opens a second window with everything you need while you speak:

* the current slide, with a list of every slide to jump to;
* the previous and the next slide;
* your speaker notes, with buttons that make the text larger or smaller;
* a timer with Pause and Reset, and the time of day.

Open it from the arrow beside Slideshow, or press S during a slideshow. The two windows stay on the same slide: a move in one moves the other.

> **Presenting over a call.** Open Presenter view, then share the slideshow window in your call, not the whole screen. The
> audience sees the slides and you keep your notes.

## Present from a link

A view link opens the presentation in the viewer, where anyone with the link can present it. Add `?present=1` to the link to start the slideshow as the page opens.
