Click Share in the title row to open the sharing dialog. What you can share depends on whether you have signed in.
Share by link
Choose who can open it
Under General access, choose Restricted (only you and the people you add) or Anyone with the link.
Choose what they can do
Beside it, choose Viewer, Commenter or Editor.Copy the link
Click Copy link and send the address. The first Copy link makes the address; a second copy sends the same one.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Open and present the presentation. |
| Commenter | Everything a viewer can do, and add and answer comments. |
| Editor | Everything a commenter can do, and change the slides. |
The dialog also makes three fixed links under More: a view link, a present link that opens the slideshow, and an edit link. Each one can be rotated or revoked, so an old address stops working.
Share with people by name
Signed in, click More in the sharing dialog to add people by email and pick a role for each person. The people list shows the owner first, then each person with their role. Use the menu on a person's row to change the role, set an expiration date or remove their access.
A person who opens a restricted presentation without access sees a page that lets them ask for it. The owner sees the request in the sharing dialog and can approve it there.
Work together
Several people can edit one presentation at the same time, and changes from others appear as they are made. The title row shows a chip for everyone who has the presentation open, and View > Live pointers shows where their pointers are on the slide.
Click a person's chip and choose Follow to have your editor show the slide they are on.
Comments
Select an object, some text or a table cell and choose Insert > Comment (Cmd+Option+M) to comment on it, or comment on the whole slide. View > Comments shows, expands, minimizes or hides the comments, and the Comments panel lists every comment with its replies.
Signing in
You do not need an account to make or present a presentation. Signing in with Continue with Google adds three things:
- The presentations you made in this browser move to your account, so you can open them on another computer.
- You can share a presentation with people by name.
- Your name and picture show to the people you work with.
A presentation made without an account lives in this browser until you sign in. Clearing the browser's site data removes it, so download a Turboslide file under File > Download if you want a copy.
