Presenting

Present a presentation full screen, use Presenter view with your notes and a timer, and the keys that control a slideshow.

A slideshow shows the slides full screen, one at a time, in order. Skipped slides are left out.

Start a slideshow

  1. Choose where to start

    Click Slideshow in the title row to start from the current slide, or open the arrow beside it and choose Start from beginning. Cmd+Enter (Ctrl+F5 on Windows) also starts from the current slide, and Cmd+Shift+Enter (Ctrl+Shift+F5 on Windows) starts from the first.

  2. Move through the slides

    Press the Right arrow, Space or Enter, or click the slide, to go to the next slide. Press the Left arrow or Backspace to go back.

  3. Stop

    Press Esc to end the slideshow and return to the editor.

Presenter view

Presenter view opens a second window with everything you need while you speak:

  • the current slide, with a list of every slide to jump to;
  • the previous and the next slide;
  • your speaker notes, with buttons that make the text larger or smaller;
  • a timer with Pause and Reset, and the time of day.

Open it from the arrow beside Slideshow, or press S during a slideshow. The two windows stay on the same slide: a move in one moves the other.
