A theme sets how every slide in a presentation looks: the colors, the fonts, the frame and where the title sits. A layout sets where things sit on one slide. Changing the theme never changes your words or pictures.
Pick a theme
Choose Slide > Change theme, or click Theme on the toolbar. The Theme panel opens beside the slide with a tile for each theme. Click a tile to apply that theme to every slide; Undo puts the old one back.
| Theme | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Simple | Ink on paper in Inter with nothing else on the slide. |
| General Translation | Rails, rules and crosses, the General Translation mark on the title slide, the slide counter and dithered pictures. |
| Swiss | A red bar over each heading, the title at the top left, one rule across the top and the slide number. |
| Mint | A mint ground with deep green ink and the title in the center. |
| Coral | A warm ground with coral as the accent and the title at the bottom left. |
| Night | A navy ground for dark rooms, with rules at the top and bottom and the slide number. |
| Slate | A cool grey ground with a steel blue accent, rules at the top and bottom and the slide number. |
| Sand | A warm paper ground with ochre as the accent and the title in the center. |
| Signal | Black and white at the highest contrast with a yellow bar over each heading, for bright rooms and projectors. |
Every theme has a light and a dark appearance. Appearance in the Theme panel switches the presentation between them.
Import Theme copies the theme and the brand kit of another presentation into this one.
Brand kits
A brand kit is your company's logo, colors, fonts and footer laid over the theme. Click Edit Kit in the Theme panel.
| Part | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Logo | A picture shown on the title slide and in the corner of every slide. Replace picks a file; Remove takes the logo off. |
| Colors | The kit's colors for the light and the dark appearance, as six hex digits each. Typing previews the color on the slides. |
| Fonts | The face of every heading and the face of the body text. |
| Footer | The logo or a line of text, such as Confidential, at the foot of every slide but the title. |
| Slide numbers | Show or hide the numbers, their format, and whether title slides skip them. |
| Frame | The rails at the sides, the rules that frame the slide and the crosses at its corners. |
| Words that never translate | Names to keep as written when the presentation is translated, one per line. |
Reset to the kit's name removes the presentation's brand kit, and every slide draws the theme again.
Tailor for a customer
Tools > Tailor for a customer changes a presentation for one customer in one step: it replaces the old customer's name everywhere, swaps the pictures named after the old customer for the new logo, and skips the slides you choose. It counts the places it will change before you click Apply, and Undo reverses the whole step.
